Become a master at public speaking by avoiding the top 10 traps! This webinar will identify and explain 10 common mistakes to avoid in order to deliver a truly engaging and memorable oral presentation. A framework for good presenting style will be developed and presented during this interactive webinar.  How can I become a master at avoiding these traps while adopting fundamental techniques to enliven my presentation and engage my audience? 

Some of the traps include:

  •          Knowing NO ONE!
  •          Failing to ILLUSTRATE
  •          Going OVERTIME
  •          Being DULL, LIFELESS or NOT FUNNY
  •          Becoming a good READER or JUMPER

About the Speaker:  Rick Parmely is the founder of Polished and Professional LLC, a training company that specializes in improving personal and professional communications. His instruction addresses the needs of both individual clients and training groups of all sizes.  After teaching undergraduate chemistry at West Point, New York and Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Rick joined Restek Corporation in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, in 1997. He currently directs their technical education program, and teaches chemistry and separation science theory through the Restek Learning Network (RLN).   With 30-plus years of teaching experience, Rick teaches science and communications courses to audiences of all sizes, both stateside and abroad. He has traveled to Europe and Africa and parts of China, working with individual clients as well as a number of groups, including NATO officials, technicians at the U.N., Pesticides Laboratory in Austria, and scientists at the University of Nairobi.  He can be reached at rick@polishednprofessional.com .
